Why I Made The Deck
Two years into my full-time engineering career, I felt incredibly unhappy. There was one huge block though that kept me from pursuing my creative endeavors full-time: the fear that my creativity would run out. What if I took the leap and never had another good idea? I doubted my ability to continually make money from my creations.
This fear set me on an eight-month journey to understand what creativity really means. I discovered that creativity is a sacred gift we all have in abundance if we just nurture it. I studied creativity and myself daily, realizing that self-expression requires a self to express. Through dozens of books and documentaries, I learned how to thrive as a creative and make a living from it. This journey required mindfulness, self-awareness, self-confidence, spirituality, a growth mindset, and authenticity.
Affirmations played a crucial role in helping me overcome the negative beliefs that hindered my creativity and made me think I couldn't share my work.
